Bud Vase #7

This rebellious little fella is a bit of an enigma.  Both primitive and modern at the same time, it has hints of african influences as well as a slightly punk feel – never thought I’d write that!!  The piece holds its own very well by itself, but wouldn’t say no to a single stem to add to the look!

It’s glazed in Snow white on the bottom half and Floating Blue on the top half.  The floating blue has interacted deliciously with the studs to create some wonderfully flowy drips, giving the piece even more energy!  Black speckles from the clay body punch their way through the white gloss glaze in a further act of defiance!
